Helping Lead Families Home Sweet Home
You know I believe everyone deserves a home, a peaceful sanctuary to call their own, a path to generational wealth. In a world that often emphasizes big achievements and grand gestures, the wisdom of Mother Teresa reminds us that love is found in the smallest of acts. Her message was “Do small things with great love.”
Last year, we came together to support Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna’s Women Build campaign and helped make a real difference for families in our community. Watching people show up with open hearts, willing hands, and a shared purpose made every moment worth it, and I’m excited to do it again.
Women Build 2026: Women Building. Worlds Changing. continues bringing volunteers together to help construct a duplex for two families while also raising funds for the materials needed to complete it.
A safe place to live gives children stability, a quiet place to sleep, and room to grow. Parents gain peace of mind knowing their family has a place to gather, share meals, finish homework at the kitchen table, and create memories together. No family should have to live with uncertainty about where they will rest at night.
Although volunteers provide much of the labor, many materials still must be purchased. Every gift, no matter the size, helps move two families closer to a fresh start and a place they can truly call their own.
